get geolocation via IP address in google maps, I created this

    Hi everybody

Yesterday I created this application for a friend, which gets geolocation in google maps via IP address.
    Its here, http://apps.hackingtuts.com

Although it is very trivial, still Check it out.

    Read more about it here,

The last link that you have provided is not working. I get an error message.

    Not Found

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.
Also when you go to the first linked page, the IP it displays is wrong, and if you do a search on your actual IP the location that it pulls from google maps is wrong.

For instance i'm in aus, and the location that it just gave me was some place in europe..

    cheers

Well it seems the thing needs a bit more work. As it's obviously not doing what it is meant to do..

My one got it spot on.

However when it says your IP - that is wrong.

I entered my static IP ...

i did that also, a quick ipconfig got my IP and typed it in, and the location it gave me was someplace in europe.

so that would make the score: 1 right 2 wrong.

It placed me in the wrong state, but on the bright side they are getting more page hits, which is probably what they wanted in the first place, or to exchange cookies...
