HP 2605 Colour Laser Jet Faded/Green Images

If anyone owns one of these printers this is worth taking note of.

I've had my printer a couple of years and the images were loosing the magenta from the printouts. The printer reported the magenta toner cartridge half full, but I bought a new one, in case it had "gone off"

Images improved a little, but not very much at all.

I found the solution to the problem, with this article:

HP Colour LaserJet Fading Fix | The Reeves-Hall Family

Now you can either strip the printer down, as detailed in the instructions, or simply phone the number for HP and give them your printer model number, and tell them the print is fading. See my comments further down the article.

We have a few of these that are just sitting in the server room doing nothing simply because they were starting to screw up print jobs.

I'm a going to be taking them home when i return to work on monday and take 'em home follow the instruction.
(Kause i like pulling electronic stuff apart ).
And fix 'em myself then throw them on ebay or something and make a few dollars

    Also nice linkage

    Heh!

I just bought 800 Q-Tips for £1 (GBP) which I would guess to be about $2.2 (ASD) and about $1.9(USD)....................of course, my English Dollar trades much higher

    Hey there Steve,

We have one which started to print faded black. After much troubleshooting it eventually went it for "maintenance" which has now prints fine. We got a new HP printer, faster and more efficient.

My suggestion would be to get a decent office printer unless this is for a SOHO

    It's my own personal printer.

Still not had it collected - HP's agents can't seem to get their act together, but I live in hope.
