    You are the weakest link

    An interesting viewpoint:

The definition of Human Error is 'a mistake made by a person rather than being caused by a poorly designed process or the malfunctioning of a machine such as a computer'
Human error continues to be the primary cause of information technology (IT) security breaches. In fact, the UK Government has faced repeated embarrassments over lost data, with over 270 data breaches being reported over the past year alone. Prime Minister Gordon Brown recently stated that the government cannot promise the safety of personal data entrusted by the public, citing human error as the reason, so thatís okay then isnít it? Of course itís not.
    The article is here:

We have the technology...............shame about the staff...........
If you cannot do someone any good: don't do them any harm....
As long as you did this to one of these, the least of my little ones............you did it unto Me.
What profiteth a man if he gains the entire World at the expense of his immortal soul?

Machines are going to take over , therefore no "human error" ...
The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

No **** Sherlock? What was your first clue? Maybe the first rule of networking?

Rule 1. There are only two things that can destroy a perfectly good, working network: Users and Printers.

The kind of security people seek is ultimately impossible to attain.
We are building a "multi-layered" tower of babel in pursuit of a mirage.
One day your car will refuse to start, and you will discover that, for security
reasons, the password you have forgotten cannot be overridden
for love or money. Three quarters of the human race will be
effectively shut out of all high tech devices because
the humans cannot be redesigned to
    make security possible.
Keep your secrets inside your head, not on networked computers.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.
