openmss - replace hard drive
Trying to replace hard drive in maxtor mss shared drive (nas device).
I have exhausted the openmss.org forum as well as google search results.
Still getting 10054 when trying to reload firmware.
Apparently, the error 10054 means the disk cannot be read. I have formatted, nuked, hex zero'd as well as tried several different partition types/formats without success.
Here's a summary of what I have tried:
1. test new drive to ensure it is functioning properly.
2. boot/nuke the drive. install drive in mss.
3. reset the MSS.
4. copy the original firmware from the maxtor CD (also tried various openmss flavors).
5. ping mss. OK.
6. run nasload from command prompt. get 10054 error.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
