    Gaza Conflict

Well, the Israelis are hitting back. They are encouraging people to download the "Patriot" tool to allow their PC to be used in DDoS attacks.

Don't download it despite the assurances............. it is the TR/Drop.Bckdr.9 Trojan.

Funny article. Students taking advantage of brainwashing the sheep. You don't know the true purpose but install anyways. Wonder how many downloaded.

Well they claim 8,000, but from the site I visited I only saw about 4,000 hits on their hitcounter.

My AntiVir AV was not impressed with what I was doing I submitted the sample to Jotti and Virustotal. Out of 38 anti-malware products only:

    AntiVir
    F-Secure
    Prevx1
    SecureWeb-Gateway

    Spotted it as something nasty.

I certainly wouldn't deliberately load a backdoor onto my system, even if I were a trusting sympathiser. If they can find it, who else might?

They could have used ajax and everyone's browsers to flood websites. That's how I would have done it.

Sure, but I don't know about you............I get the impression that these guys are more political activists than IT specialists?

I just get a kind of "skiddie" feel about them.
