Also you might want to look at the route print. Do any of these machines have multiple network cards? We have had an issue with subnet masks in the past.
In CMD prompt type in route print
This will give you a look at the active routes

It was SO DAMN F******* confusing because the ASS who set up the IPS did a piss poor job.. I spent considerable amount of time going through the IPS logs and found nothing.. Today in sheer frustration I asked to turn off the IPS (Bypass mode) and few other filtering device's off and guess what - everything is back to NORMAL !..
THE FREAKING IPS DID IT ! I'm still trying to figure out why since IPS team is different from what head..
GOD DARN ! So many storms for nothing (don’t kill me for this) .. I'm just being honest !..
PS : We don’t have a WINS server and issue just flew off after IP was changed (explains the IPS or filtering device coming into picture) but since the logs didn’t say anything I didn’t look at the IPS again..
Machines dont have multiple LAN cards..
GOD DAMN !.. You have no idea the kind of pain I've gone through for this!
THANK TO ALL! .. Really sorry
