    Unhappy windows xp bootup issue

My laptop which runs Windows Xp on boot up is displaying this silver screen. I am unable to see the desktop items. i can hear them booting in the background, but not able to see them. A few days earlier my usual desktop background had been replaced by this silver background since I restarted my laptop today all i can see is this silver screen.

I am however able to use my other guest account. The one locked out is my admin account. Please help me solve this.

Try booting into Safe Mode w/ your user ID.
