    So, you thought that you were smart by avoiding Windows Vista?

    Thought you would do a leapfrog migration to Windows 7?

    For get it kids............you will be migrating into obsolescence......

    Erm, how are you supposed to keep up with all the m$ certs? This is ridiculous?

    There's no rest for the wicked...

    i wouldn't worry about certs at least until the first SP arrives. that way the OS has been out long enough for people to start using it.

    Yeah but if I want to start my MCSE, i would then do a XP exam. However in 6 months that will be obsolete? ...

    It might go in to obsolete mode as far as MS are concerned, but you will still have the cert for it.. yes?

    i've got certs for various ms offering's a few are obsolete as far as they are concerned, but i still find it useful having the cert's under my belt.

    i guess it's just a matter of opinion really. The real question would be do you think it is worth doing the work and getting cert for it? Or skip it and get cert's for option B..?

    I am a MCSE or at least was. NT 4 Enterprise. Now when I got certified it wasn't about learning networking, it was learning about how Microsoft wanted it done. I don't know if M$ still does it that way - No way am I paying good money to find out.

    Citrix certification paths are the best BY FAR if you're looking to learn and get certified. Operating systems, Encryption, Networking. All are covered and if you "Don't Get It" you wont get certified.

    CISCO Certs are great, but when I got my certification CCNA there really wasn't anything other than CIOS configuration. So unless you had any training or understanding of operating systems...

    I received confirmation early on Wednesday that build 7100 had been finalized and noticed early this morning that both the 32-bit and 64-bit flavors had been leaked to various P2P networks. Fake downloads had appeared yesterday but these were quickly removed. The latest downloads appear to be genuine.
