Microsoft "Bing" will it pwn google? Or is it a case of "all aboard the fail train"?
Will Bing bring Microsoft search supremacy?
Steve Ballmer is set to shortly announce “Bing”, its new Google-killing search engine with such amazing search simplicity and satisfaction that we will all be truly stunned. But will Bing just bring useless search bling, or will it be the real search thing – and does the Bing logo look just like that from British Paints?!?

So just curious to know what everyone thinks about this whole "Bing" hype that seems to be doing the rounds?

I have this urge to answer but i can't decide.. i really don't think we can answer before they come out with it.. i mean Google has shown how a comapny can actually lead in what it does - "market leader" .. There are still so many alternatives to OS (where microsoft is a leader) but When it comes to online search .. i don't think anyone even comes close to google.. Only company that I thought gave a good fight to google with the available resources to them was Yahoo!. Mircrosoft NEVER reached close to google or yahoo!.. I mean they can't even search their own site that well !
My urge is to say NO. The kind of effort that google puts into Search technology, no one does. Plus Google puts the efforts in the right direction..
You know what.. i'm going to click NO ..

I agree with BTW. Wait and see. However, based on their (MS) track record, I'm not holding my breath. That said, there is huge room for improvement in the search engine market.
If I had to wager, I say it will be a bust.

I'm having too much fun with Wolfram Alpha to be testing out a new search engine

Yeah, that's pretty cool and entertaining. Especially the math. I forgot how much multi variable calc I forgot.

If you guys actually wanted to mess with google then you'd help people like me screw with their search results and flood their notifications with nonexistent problems.

British Paints?...............a brand totally unknown in the entire British Isles?
http://www.britishpaints.com.au/
Ah!................I see...............the Australians are re-applying for full membership so that we can dominate cricket and rugby once again
Then with our cyclists and their swimmers..............................
Actually their website is rather kewl.............. just run your mouse over the blue squares......................
On a more serious note, it is strange to have this MS product hyped as a "Google killer".
I would have thought that by now M$ would be well aware of the powers that a near monopolistic market share give a corporation.
Hell's teeth! you can even get away with Windows Millennium Edition and Vista?
As this appears to be some sort of Wall Street scam, all I can say is:
Sentiment: Strong Apathy
If you cannot do someone any good: don't do them any harm....
As long as you did this to one of these, the least of my little ones............you did it unto Me.
What profiteth a man if he gains the entire World at the expense of his immortal soul?
