Evaluation Tools
This is not a programming question so please move if needed .
Does anyone know whether there are any tools or technicals that I can use to evaluate two intranet search products ?
My company is evaluating a couple of proprietary & also opensource search solutions and I am interested in what software or tools I can use to compare the products.
Thanks

Hi,
I am not aware of any tools as such, it is really something that you have to do "longhand" I am afraid.
I guess that is not really surprising as the effectiveness of any particular solution will depend on:
1. Your data content and search requirements.
2. Your user community
3. How the search engine works.
