VLC Player Vulnerability
Videolan's VLC player v1.0.0 and earlier has a vulnerability.
This is supposed to be fixed by v1.0.1 which you can get here:

Excellent..... They even posted the compromised c/c++ functions. Could be a major problem on linux since other open-source multimedia apps require 3 of those 2 engines. Also I noticed, if you upgrade, they remove a codec that plays x264 and mp4 files. Don't know if that in itself is a conspiracy but the source-code fix is the only upgrade I need.
