    Talking Kitty Porn?

This is the best I have read in ages.....some guy is blaming his cat for downloading KP

    Article:

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/08/07/man_blames_cat/

I liked this bit the best:

The 48-year-old is being held on $250,000 bond in the Martin County jail. It is unclear if the cat was neutered.

    EDIT:

Worry not mes enfants, your intrepid global super moderator has scoured the interwebz and found the solution:

Errr......no, my CMOS battery has not failed..............I do not think that it is April 1st.

Yes, he certainly isn't the sharpest tool in the box is he?

    1. I have had cats and computers for years. At worst you get a popup menu or a system freeze.

    2. The guy says this stuff "just appeared" after the cat had jumped on his keyboard..............so why didn't he "just delete it" then, as he obviously knew it was there?

A much more plausible defence would be dodgy P2P sites and warez, but I think that the Sheriff has a lot more evidence that just the images.

Luck. I've had hardware failures from exessive cat fur, i've had systems fail due to the cat mashing all the keys.

I really need to lockdown these computers when i leave the room.

I have a cat. He does all sorts of stuff with computers. He rolls around on the keyboard yelling, "LOLOLOLOLOL ROFLROFLROFL I rick-rolled you!"

More to the point, if people really wanted to do something about kid-porn then they'd shut down stickam and start arresting these kids. People need to crush their egos... let them know that they aren't cute kids, let alone attractive in any way.

Nah, this isn't about Stickam or whatever. Although that is illegal it is not even in the same ballpark because it is consensual. These are 100 octane pervs exploiting very underaged children.

Regarding what you say though, I did read the other day about some 14 or 15 year old kid got arrested for posting nude photographs of herself!

    @t34b4g5

Luck. I've had hardware failures from excessive cat fur,
Yeah, I have seen plenty of overheating related issues due to pet fur, but it isn't due to anything proactive on the part of the animal.............they just molt! Friction ball based HIDs suffer as well.

I've had systems fail due to the cat mashing all the keys.
Yes, I have seen crashes and corrupted/nonsense data, but you shouldn't be able to cause physical damage that way. I think that a lot of the issue is down to hotkey sequences and how they are handled, particularly when entered at the wrong point in time.
