Opera is like the last Hope of web browsers. At least for Windows. I think it's one of the few that actually stays true to web standards right now. Other OSs have so many browsers you can go bored just looking at them all, but Windows it seems like they only really talk about IE, Firefox, and Opera.

I like Opera and use it the most, and IE is somewhat OK but seems really slow, and Firefox.... Firefox is what happens when someone with a huge Ego makes software that doesn't have the ability to back up the arrogance behind it.

If opera actually rendered alot of pages correctly then it would okay however its the web dudes that dont make it compatible with Opera.

Is there an option to make it like "IE"

I remeber back in the day you could DL an addon for FF that made it like IE, well made the website they you are using IE as your browser ...

According to Wikipedia, the reason Opera doesn't always display a page right, is because the page isn't standardized or whatever it said. Basically Opera is built to be the Standards based web browser, and any site not using standard, will not work right.

I see it a lot, wether it be Microsoft stuff like my cousin whining his Xbox stuff doesn't work, but also on others too.

I was very surprised that you hadn't but this is going to be a very short-lived release candidate, so probably wouldn't be of interest to users of 9.64 who are not testing the Beta3?

I remember back in the day you could DL an addon for FF that made it like IE, well made the website they you are using IE as your browser ...
Yes, that's still around. You have the choice of re-displaying a web-page in IE, or setting an entire website to always display in IE. It actually opens an instance of IE, so you would need to have IE installed as well. In other words it is just interactive browser hopping.

    EDIT:

I find this a useful resource for Opera tweaks and add-ons:

    http://operawiki.info/CustomButtons

    BE CAREFUL though!

Some of the stuff might only work with 9.64 at the moment, and I don't know if the IE one works with IE8.

I intend to have 9.64 running as well as 10.0 until I have had a chance to test the "bells and whistles"

To do this you need to install 10.0 in a different location, and recreate the desktop icon, which will be overwritten.

    EDIT2:

Whilst this article is 4 years old and written by an Opera aficionado, I think it makes some very balanced comments on browser/webpage compatibility issues:
