Scripts/tools for attacking ssl/tls (http over ssl)

Hello!
I'm a Masters student working on my thesis related to intrusion detection of attacks on security protocols. I was looking for tools/scripts/proof of concept, etc that would assist me in attacking the mock https server that I have set up. This is to enable me to collect attack data (which I plan to capture while the attack is in progress).
I was wondering if any readers or moderators are aware of ways or places where I could get my hands on these. I'm specifically looking for something that can help me carry out a timing attack.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Hydra can break HTTP. You could also use IPSorcery and Hping.
