    Apache2 Time of Day Access

Is it possible to restrict access to certain folders based on time of day, when using Apache2? I have done some googling, but came up short. I figured you might be able to configure that with .htaccess, but haven't found a way to do so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[FYI Apache2 is running on Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS]

You could off course make a couple of .htaccess files depending on the different access settings you want, and then setup cronjobs to copy the .htaccess you want to be active into your document root.

    Maybe?

Heh. I thought about that before I posted. I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. Does Apache have to be restarted for changes in .htaccess to take effect?

Thanks for the suggestion... that might be the solution.

No. Apache reads .htaccess for each request.
