    Vmware & waik

    Hey dudes

Goal here is trying to setup a windows 7 install using an answer file to automate the process.

First I put the autoattended.xml file on a flash as and told VMware to boot from a W7 ISO, it boots from the ISO but doesnt see the .xml file , I presume because the flash drive isnt being picked up by vmware even though my USB headphones are. I then created an ISO with only the xml file on there and set Vmware to use 2 DVD roms.

All I get is "OS not found", its obviously reading the wrong drive here.

If anyone has any experience with WAIK or mass deployment and / or VMware and USB's please help a man out here

    Shotto-

    I'm pretty toasted atm.

http://dc412.org/unattend.php it's for Vista but meh you should be able to work it out. For the product key don't punch in a valid 1. Usually googling a key and using that for the creating will work, then once rolled out a batch script should be easily enough to code out to automagically swap to your valid key/s

I have basically left chapter 2 & 3 till last as I dont want to be bogged down with it. I will also have to setup WDS on virtual machine.

I have totally run our of space to host all these test VM's.

Need to get more hardware in my LAB :P
