how could this be exploited?
Synopsis
An open SMTP relay is running on this port.
Description
The remote SMTP server is insufficiently protected against relaying.
This means that it allows spammers to use your mail server to send
their mails to the world, thus wasting your network bandwidth.
Solution
Reconfigure your SMTP server so that it cannot be used as a relay
any more.
Risk Factor

They can set your SMTP server as their outgoing mailserver to send spam.

Fix it quick before you get black listed! I know Exchange if that is what you are running and need help. I just need to know server and exchange version.

Besides the incredible amount of time getting your self retested by more blacklists than i ever thought existed, there's the problem that many of your clients actually do believe the spam intentionally came from you.
