File Hippo Updater Warning
Hi,
Several of you may use the File Hippo Updater program, that tells you when an application has a newer version released.
In general, I strongly recommend this application as many current security threats come through the Applications Layer, rather than through the operating system.
I have recently noticed a problem with recommendations regarding hardware management software, particularly videocards. My advice is NOT to follow the link and try to install the update; but to go to the manufacturer's website and check for yourself.
Remember, File Hippo does not know what model/version/interface you have, so the update may not work. Worse still, it will probably just screw everything up!
Cheers

I threw out this and only using PSI for security reasons. Update checker did give some issues with not connecting etc, long load times, sometimes not loading.
The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

Hmmmm, can't say I have had those problems, other than where it tries to kick off before the wireless connection is established
Most connectivity issues I can put down to my network or my ISP, who seem to be gearing up for ADSL 2+ and have some ham-fisted engineers
