Hi Guys,
Can you please recommend good wifi cards which could be used for carrying out wifi auditing?
Which are the recommended ones that could be used?

What kind of 'Wifi Auditing' are you going to be doing? If you are wanting to be able to do packet injection, etc. you will definitely want one that is based on the atheros chipset.
You might find this page helpful: http://www.dudek.org/wireless
A google search for 'Atheros Chipset' should return pretty relevant results. What OS will you be using the card with? Most current distros of Linux have pretty good wifi support, but I would suggest double checking before you purchase one. What interface are you wanting? USB, PCI, PCMCIA, etc?

Here are the cards that have been tested with BackTrack

Personally i prefer the Alfa AWUS036H 500mw or the 1000mw version.

You can prolly get a better price shopping around.

Yes i will be doing packet injection, try to see the signal range etc.
My based OS would be Windows XP with Linux/Backtract running on the virtual machine.

I added an 18" high gain magmount antenna to my 1000mw, and I have a set of directionals that I occasionally use as well.
Real security doesn't come with an installer.

Aircrack NG VM
I run the Aircrack-NG VMware image available from http://www.aircrack-ng.org/ with a Belkin USB Wireless adapter similar to the one here: http://www.belkin.com/au/IWCatProduc...duct_Id=182815 (Sorry I am not in the office to give you the exact model I am using) and it works great.
The VMware image allows me to move across physical systems and set up the environment for my staff/colleagues and I found it dead easy to set up and use.
Once you have it all set up and working I have found the following tutorial on the Aircrack site quite good to give new people a bit of an understanding of the possibilities.

There are better tools depending on what type of auditing you are actually doing (i.e. rogue access point detection/location versus wireless cracking versus wireless enumeration versus sniffing) but this in easy way to set up a simple cracking and enumeration auditing tool

Exact Model
The exact Model I use is the F5D7050 - http://www.belkin.com/iwcatproductpa...duct_id=179211
Which according to what I have been able to find out uses the Chipset: Ralink 2570
From the backtrack site http://backtrack.offensive-security....elkin_F5D7050B it appears it can be used with backtrack as well.
