OK..................this is what I have been messing with on this and other boxes......

This one is an old AMD Athlon 2200+ with a Gig of PC 2100.

It has an ATI Radeon 7500 videocard at 64 MB

It has defaulted to 1920x1080, and shows it perfectly................this is a 10 year old card!!!!????

It is XP Home, if that makes a difference? which I very much doubt

All I can think of is that the Samsung monitor had some software from Macromedia (Adobe?) called "Magic Tune Premium"

Running the same monitor on Vista Home Premium with an ATI HD2400 PRO 256MB card will also give me the resolution, but the display is better at 1280x800?????

I guess I will try my wife's 19" widescreen TV, as that has PC attachment sockets..............

My thinking was that if this software will take over an old videcard like the 7500.............it just might work for your Dell box?
