I'm using a software with network license. We are in a building and I'm sure there are so many other people in other floors using the same software through the same license. The problem is that licenses are not assigned to especial IPs which means that I need to go through a competition process to be able to use it! I need to keep trying and trying until someone stops using their software and a license gets free then I can use it....
I need to put the IP address of the server which is 129.128.**.** into the software for it to work.
My question is that is there anyway I can make something to like try scanning the network for a free license automatically for as long as it takes? like a script or a piece of code or something? Please take a look at the attachment. It gives you an idea of how I'm doing it....
My more important question is that can I force someone out of the network?
And another question is that how can I know which IPs are using this software?

Somewhere there is a device/server whatever that has the licence management software on it. That is what is checking to see if there is a spare slot

Sure, if you have the requisite coding skills, but I would warn you that if I were your boss I would not be best pleased at such unauthorised activity.
The software should have a timeout function or it is just crapware. No activity within "x" minutes and you get kicked out...........ask your administrator about this.......

Yes, if you are the administrator, or you kill them and turn their machine off.

By being the administrator Somewhere there is an application controlling the licences. It will show you who is doing (or not doing) what at any point in time.
Or get a dongle..............these give you God rights, and the management software will ignore you.
We have the same issue with internal software , our offices are small so we just shout to the office to get out if they are not using it, but yes there is software on the server controlling this.
I would suggest sending out a mail asking people to log out if its not being used or as Nihil said, ask the admin to implement to 10 min afk auto kick feature. This is particulary true for the smokers who leave the apps open and go smoke.
