    Talking MS make superstition official!

Microsoft have made superstition their official policy. Just check out your Office versions

    Office 97 = 8
    Office 2k = 9
    Office 02 = 10
    Office 03 = 11
    Office 07 = 12
    Office 10 = 14

Or perhaps version 13 was so bad they didn't dare release it???????????

Darn. How did you happen to spot that 1?

Anyone else hear the thing about M$ bringing back that popup paper clip thing, but it's going to instead of annoy you but be a game type thing, were you have to do different things. "Mini- Game's" type thing.

looking for the article i read about it on will update this post with the linkage when i re-find it.

    ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

"Clippit" has managed to escape from my Pentium I/II based rehabilitation centre in Cuba ???

I don't know if I still have it, but I had a plugin for Office 97 that let you do things to him that even the Geneva Convention hadn't thought of..... OMG! that's years ago............I wonder if I can find it?

IIRC he was even more annoying if you had sound enabled?

Whilst I am in one of these nostalgic humours: I found my copy of office 4.3 the other day............about 30 some 3.5" floppies. Given that I have just bought Office 2010 Professional Plus, I think I must wheel out a box with 4.3 for comparison.

Clippy is gone but not forgotten

Download Ribbon Hero 2 for Office 2010 - Clippy's Second Chance

This because the entire game was overhauled, with Microsoft bringing an important ally back from the “office grave” Clippy.

    Nice find Steve,

I think that they have changed his name though, as it used to be "Clippit". If I remember rightly, there were several of them that you could interchange?

    Merlin (Wizard)
    Einstein (Mad Professor)
    Robo (Robot)

and a dog, cat, and I think a globe, although it might have been a football.

    Anyways.....

WARNING! this is an adult humour site so you might find some of it offensive, tasteless and certainly NSFW.

    This is interesting:

I find it so refreshing to see that students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are taking full advantage of their educational opportunities
There are interactive parts, so left mouse click

    More stuff from MIT:

I seem to remember that back in the days of Office 97 there were a few plug-in or add ons, so you could have "different" characters does anyone remember them?

    EDIT:

This is how Clippit was supposed to be?
