javascript popups in safari ajax callback methods
Hey All,
I'm having a problem with the popup blocker in safari. I have a script which makes an ajax call to a server (jquery .post) and in some situations generates a popup in the callback (window.open()) . This logic seems to work great everywhere except safari. Anyone aware of a good workaround for this situation?

Found a workaround: setup an event listener on a hidden link and trigger a click event on it from the callback method

My browser doesn't open anything in a new window unless I specificly right click links to have it opened that way. Besides, that method of shoving ads in everyone's face became irrelevant a good decade ago.

@Nihil yeah I laughed when I saw the request for posted info but figured since i asked the question perhaps my further posts were overlooked assuming I would not resolve my own issue
