    Gmail Ads

So this is what I see.

"You have opted out but you can opt in at any time."

But I still get the "personalised ads" which give me ads on what is in my inbox or active.

Is there no way to stop this?

Here is an interesting article. The bottom line is that you can have a block list or opt out. If you opt out the block list is deleted. All opting out does is prevent personalization. You still get the ads.

I use Firefox 9 with ABP and Ghostery so I never see an ad and trackers, etc. are blocked.
All history and cookies except from preferred sites are deleted upon exit.

Thanks, BS if you ask me.
