Question Is Returnil compatible with Truecrypt ?

Sorry if this post seems similar to the DeepFreeze + Truecrypt question...
Reason I'm asking, is because I found out DeepFreeze stops working (other than uninstall) after 30-days... >=(

But, does, anyone know if these two programs are compatible with each other?

I found an answer on a different forum:
    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=231002

But could someone on this forum verify this?

Also, why would you install the VM (Returnil) prior to Truecrypt?
I would think it should be the other way around...

    Any help will be appreciated.

1- Yah dude, DeepFreeze is a commercial program. So, that 30 day period where it works is actually just a trial period so you can test it out to see if you want to buy it. I don't know what your finances look like but I personally think that the standard version of DeepFreeze is worth the 35 dollars a year subscription fee.

2- Dude, this is an interesting question to me...it really is. So, to solve it, I'd suggest you install VMWare on your computer, diagram your hypothesis or desired results and then use virtual machines to test your ideas and find your solutions.
"Do you know why the system is slow?" they ask

"It's probably something to do with..." I look up today's excuse ".. clock speed"

Actually, I gave it some thought earlier today about that install order...
You'll want the encryption installed AFTER the VM, because you want the system to encrypt your main OS files, as well as the VM files.
Since Truecrypt will be the main boot loader, it will decrypt the OS drive, then the VM program will kick in and run the VM OS...
Of course... the OS data and VM data while the system is running will be decrypted... but when the system shuts down, everything will be encrypted again.

    Am I right?

Oh, and if you had to pick between RSS (free) and DF,which would you pick (the VM part only)?
I have a feeling that DF is more secure and less prone to being compromised than RSS/RVS.

Also, why would you install the VM (Returnil) prior to Truecrypt?
Because you did, and if you did, you have to remember to turn the VM off if you want to permanently install a new application. Pretty much the same as running a program in a sandbox.

Most people would not install Truecrypt on a secure desktop, so it is more likely that they would install other security software first?

    EDIT:

    "Clean Slate" (Fortres Grand)

    "Time Freeze" (Toolwiz)

A couple more you might like to look at? I believe that they still have private use versions for stand alone computers.

If you cannot do someone any good: don't do them any harm....
As long as you did this to one of these, the least of my little ones............you did it unto Me.
