As malware attacks become more frequent, attention has begun to shift from viruses and spyware protection, to malware protection, and programs that have been specifically developed to combat malware. (Other preventive and recovery measures, such as backup and recovery methods, are mentioned in the computer virus article).

To put it very bluntly; most of this stuff does not protect you from current cybercrime.

The concept and stuff written for it belongs back in the last century!

ATM I install Avast! and Zone Alarm.................... they do a decent job, assuming the person between the chair and keyboard has a brain

Hi there Aaron, how's it hangin fellah?

The young lady who updates my Avast! (free version) has a nice American accent...........hmmmmm, yeah, California.............. say no more?

My real bitch is that most of these products are just snake oil these days, they don't protect you from much, and cripple your resources.

Life has changed, and people do not write viruses as such..............I think that it is all cyber crime fraud these days?

    Cheers,

    Johnno

    @ Vdieter,

Most people on this site would have more intelligence than to buy an Apple product...........we are PROFESSIONALS after all?

Because they have their OSX operating system, they are less targeted than Windows, but please do not delude yourself that they are less vulnerable.

Everything is made in China these days, and all Applecrap is a US marketing outfit..............I can build 5X better for a half the price.

Just look at Apple...............sue, sue,sue.................that's a company with no prospects.......

And I have deleted your spamming links

Heck, I use win 7 and have 8 GB USB 3.0 flash drives with Linux Lite, Zorin OS7 and the like on them.

Apple OS is just a version of a hacked Linux operating system.
