    Security Alert! The Grum-A worm

Security Alert! Security Alert! The Grum-A worm is on the loose, disguised as an innocent-looking Microsoft beta download. (Does that sound suspicious in the slightest? I guess it depends on how you look at it.)

In any case, the latest virus being shared with unsuspecting email users is an .exe file claiming to be Internet Explorer 7.0

I imagine it’s pretty prevalent because I’ve received at least two emails claiming to be MS IE 7.0 beta downloads in the past 24 hours. So consider yourselves warned.

Nope i heard IE 6.0 SE will be the default browser you will off-couse need to have Windows ME installed.

You won't have to worry about restarting after each update either, the in-built BSOD automagically takes care of the need to reboot every 5mins.

    Hmmmm,

    Slightly off topic but...................

Nope i heard IE 6.0 SE will be the default browser you will off-couse need to have Windows ME installed.
Make that Windows 2000 SP4, much less of a resource hog and infinitely more stable

Which brings me to a slight problem I have with a machine running W2K SP4. Obviously it will only run IE 6 SP1, and this just won't connect to the MS update site, and hasn't for some time.

MS still support Office XP (2002) yet I cannot get updates for this legitimate paid for product.

^^ Obvious facts arn't right once again...

You must be mistaken, JP was the one using sock accounts to boost the sites stats/activity...

Thats why he got himself sued..

You been skipping your medication again? your acting all dillusional/paranoid again..

    HYBR|D old chap,

Please allow me to introduce you to the absolutely fascinating world that The-Spec believes to be reality?

He is of the opinion that Quinstreet used sock accounts in June 2008 to boost the online users to 811 on a site that they did not buy until November 2009

    All I can say is:

    1. The-Spec is a Quinstreet sock account brought in to provide entertainment.
    2. I want a pint of whatever he has been drinking.

Otherwise, if this really is a Quinstreet sock account, and they are really that unprofessional.............my consultancy fees are very reasonable, with the addition of receipted expenses and all the beer I can drink.

I am glued to my mailbox waiting for the first delivery of used 10's and 20's
