    Am I using a 64 bit processor?

    I use the following:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 5400+

Does this mean I have a 64 bit processor? For some reason I was sure I was using a 32 bit processor.

Is there a way to discover what the ram potential of my motherboard is?

The 64 part tells it all... Google your mobo make and model number to find the specs... aka info about the ram.

Hi, you might have been confused by your Operating System?

    A 32bit OS will run on a 64bit processor, but a 32bit processor can't handle a 64 bit OS.

Please remember that if you are using 32bit Windows, it will only use around 3.5GB of RAM, even if your MoBo will take much more. This is a limitation on the amount of memory that it can address; and graphics memory is included in this limitation.
