If you can answer a few questions, it will help us help you easier.

How does the system in question go online (Dialup ? cable ? DSL ? other?)

Was it ever working ? If so, how long ago ? Did you have any receint storms in the area ?

Do you have any other computers that you can temporarly put in this one's place to check if the problem is actually the computer or the connection ?

Thanks much and keep us updated!

Can you do anything else? IRC, messenger, email etc?

Please give the info morganlefay asked so we can help you a bit better.
