    it is ok to disable all windows features exclude IE

    if I only only the basic computer usage,

    - email, view websites, play poker/chess online, youtube,...

    You can disable any service that you are certain you aren't using. Just keep track of what you disable in case something you need stops working.

    And some services depend on others to work.

    no; generally anything above vista most of the services you need. why do you want to disable them?

    Hi,

    If your usage and requirements are as you have described, then I would suggest that you leave well alone. You will not improve anything, and risk screwing everything up.

    What I would ask you, is why you asked the question in the first place? I guess that something is not working to your satisfaction?
