FBI RANSOM VIRUS INFECTED MAC OS X HELP!!
I have a customer who was infected with the "FBI ransom virus pay $300 to get your system back" The customer is running a desktop OS X Macintosh. I fixed this before various Windows machines but not Macintosh. Any tips, tricks, articles, you recommend for doing this. I've seen an article but it said to reset the safari browser to "DEFAULT" settings. All help is greatly appreciated.

The job went great! I opened Safari it was stuck on the fake FBI page. I then forced closed it. Open safari, went down to reset safari, made sure everything was checked. Hit reset and customers machine is up and running no fake fbi page and customer is very happy.
Only one thing, some music videos wouldn't play from youtube so I downloaded adobe (that is what youtube said was missing) anyways, I downloaded it, went to install it, and it's prompting me for a password. Username is admin password customer has no idea. I talked to a fellow tech and he said if you don't know the password you're going to have to uninstall and re-install the whole operating system (which I didn't do) I was playing with adobe software and get it up and running without the password. Again, customer very happy. Thanks, Shay.
On a side note, can you recommend any great books on learning Macintosh? I know windows and linux really well, I just need to brush up on my Apple skills. All help is greatly appreciated.

Never have dealt with Apple. I be like you Windows and some distros of Linux.
My library does have some book on that subject.
Amazon has these.
