    Unhappy Personal Privacy

Hello..I'm kind of new to this, but I have question and I hope this is the kind of thing you can help me with. I want to know how I can find out if my boyfriend has installed something on my computer that tracks my movements. Perhaps a program that actually sends info to his pc. He is very knowledgable about these things and is very into hacking, cracking and spying. Any info would be much appreciated. Kitty

    Your boyfriend? rotflmao

Dump the guy: either he's really tracking you, and then he's no good; either he's not doing it, and then you'll need to be hospitalised for paranoia.

BTW: maybe he implanted a GPS-device in your body while you were sleeping...that should really do the tracking...
And if he really is tracking your every move, he'll probably also know you asked those questions.

(I'm not being very helpful, am I?)

    Greetings:

Well, now that you've been subjected to the obligatory "AntiOnline Flame", how about I actually provide some useful information?

    Check out this program:

If he stuck something on your computer, this will probably find it.

    Hope that helps!

    Question WTF

OK, I just wanna say if your bf is using something to track your movements kick his ass to the curb. He's a jackass.

That said the simplest solution is to start visiting really twisted porn sites. Like ohhhhh... say ....simese twins pissing on farm animals. And then maybe if you're lucky he has a keylogger installed. Then it should be really funny if you start visiting chat rooms, lesbien ones should do the trick. Then have some really uhh...intimate conversations.
And if he is tracking you, you can bet that he'll want to discuss your new intrests. During that discussion you can bring up his intrests like violating your privacy.splat

Yeah!!! Make him really love the thing. If possible make him download some pict., have him send them to other suckers and then charge him with porn distribution. HA

if your on Windows you can check the startup folder to see what apps are starting automaticly, also look at the win.ini and system.ini for items in the run= line
hit ctrl + alt + del to see what programs are in memory. Check the link JP posted.
Finally if you really suspect he's doing this dump the looser, because wether he is or not you either don't trust him "OR" your feeling guilty about something your doing that you don't want him to know about and you should move on.

With easy tools like Sub7 around and chatting programs like ICQ, AIM, and such, it is easy for trojans to spread like wildfire among groups of "friends". From my experiences, when someone who doesn't know much about computers says things like "very into hacking, cracking and spying" about someone else, the person is probably just using things like Sub7. Best thing is to keep your antivirus updated, don't let anyone touch your computer if you aren't around, and get a firewall (soft or preferably hardware). Above all, be suspicious of anything and everything no matter where it comes from.

It's a dangerous web out there...
