    Lightbulb Heres what i would do

    first i dont trust anti-virus because if a hacker really wanted to he could obtain a unpacked server and trim it then pack it making it undetectible. Another thing you would want to do is check for the places trojans will startup here is a link where yo can find aout start methods - http://www.tlsecurity.net/auto.html - (by the way trojans dont always show up in ctrl+alt+del they can hide in theads now!) - Another KEY THING TO DO IS GET A FIREWALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend zonealarm for beginers. Good Luck

    For Kittycat

    Here is a previous post I did for a thread on trojans; some of the information should help you out.

    Ways to Help Protect your Comp from Trojans and Etc:

    1. Invest in a good virus scanner ( I recommend Norton, but someone might know a better one)
    2. Don't download stuff you dont need, also included in this rule is dont open email attachments from people you don't know.
    3. Check OS startup entries: (Registry, AutoExec, Startup Folder)
    As mentioned you can use Sysedit, MsConfig, Regedit, etc

    Here are a few places to look for suspious entries:

    Places to look in the registry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
    entVersion\Run

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
    entVersion\RunOnce

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
    entVersion\RunServices

    Places to look in the Win.INI:
    "load="
    "run="
    normally these are left empty

    Note: Check the AutoExec.bat for odd entries

    Also as mentioned it prolly wouldnt be a bad idea to format your drive.

    Good Luck I hope this helps alittle!
    If you don't feel comfortable with using regedit, sysedit or msconfig then you might wanna try JP' s link.

    Also: Dump that boyfriend, what a control freak

    Cool Damn PPL!!!!!!!!!

    Listen up dorks, Its a legitamate Question, Mabe the guy is some sort of jelous control freak. In that case dump his silly ass!!! But on a more serious note.

    It is quite possible that he installed some sort of a key logger, Which he would have to have acess to your PC to even use, Unless he has Sub 7, or Various other Trojans. I recommend TDS3 which can be found in a trial version at www.wilders.org, It is a Pro tool with a very user friendly interface.

    Guys dont flame her for having bad taste in men!!!!!
