That would have been true a few years ago. But some of us are running XP/2003 with 64bit processing.
Ok I'm showing my age... Windows 3.1x and older is 16 bit. You need to boot in DOS first then type win (.com) to start Windows. It's basically DOS with multitasking feature in GUI environment.
I used to use (Borland) Turbo Assembler (TASM) in DOS. To edit an assembly codeI used Sidekick, a TSR program with built in text editor. Anybody remember?
