Not sure if this is related or not, but I jumped onto MultiProxy.org earlier today to update my proxy connections, and I was FLOODED with Ad.Doubleclick pop ups. It was so bad, that I had to log off, and even after I disconnected, Doubleclick windows CONTINUED to open offline, one after another, a few seconds apart. I ended up having to reboot by PC to make it stop. Needless to say, I was pissed.
