Hello people,
I was trying to install GCC3.1.1 on Mandrake 8.2, following the instructions that came with the package that i downloaded from GNU web site.
Well it fails to configure itself as because it needs CC or GCC to compile some sources and i do not have it on Mandrake installed (that's why i am installing it).
Chicken or egg? who comes first?
The instructions point out that i should set the environment variables or my path with CC, How? I am new to Linux, just learning so far, the same for C.
Than as i can't go forward from the config step i can't build it and i can't keep going with my lessons (using a couple of tutorials downloaded from AO and another found on the internet)
Some light is welcome,
Thanks in advance,
Kitain.
