hello peeps
i have just had the strangest problem i just installed firestarter firewall under redhat linux 7.3 i turned my computer off for a while and when i turned it back on all my desktop icons have dissapeard now why is this ? and when i tried to run firestarter it asked for my root password and when i give it the password nothing happends the GUI doesent come up does any 1 have any idea of why this has happend ? plz some 1 help im fecking getting stressed out at this box plz help thanks to all the good peeps who respond TY to all in advance

EDIT: everything has just came back does any 1 have a solution as to why this just happend this was really weird i would like to know why this happend i would search google but what would i search for ?? any links to sugested reading on that weird problem would be great
