Its not only with "255". Any other ascii characters that are not printable will do. It works only on win 98. Also hide the file 'attrib +h <filename>'. Then onwards the character will not show up on 'dir'. If still want more use these characters after 8 normal printable characters. The unprintable characters won't show up now.I wonder why this thread was given an "extremely positive" antipoint. Its a well known trick.
