I agree,sites and crimes like this (against children) should be reported imediatelly to autorithies.
Concerning your friend´s worry,let him know that is nothing to worry about,unless he got interested and went on ,provide any private information or cc card and others referred above.This is the law here (Portugal) and should'nt be much different in any real democratic country,since autorithies recognize the possibilities to bump on this sites while surfing.For more information check out your country legislation about this matter.
