And, where exactly has this sharia law ever happened, legaly?
Ontario
According to Ontario's 1991 Arbitration Act religious groups have the right to resolve family disputes.
Since it sounds like you don't know what sharia law is, I will try and help you out here. Sharia law is the book of laws that govern Sunni Moslem's. It is the law that governs Saudi Arabia and many African countries.
Stoning and Amputations will probable not take place since it is so barbaric that no civilized nation would stand for it, plus it would probably cause an outlaw of sharia law in general. Female circumcision and wife beating does take place. Female circumcisions (You do know what this means, right) take place when a female member of a family is born (No Choice). Wife beating takes place because if a women who tries to appeal (Choice) to court system (legal) to have the sentence overturned she will be disavowed by the family (No Choice).
But to tell you the truth I think about 99% of the laws in the sharia are illegal, but they take place none the less.
I don't see how anything about Canada has to do with what I have said, care to explain?
Canada par sae, no, but since you have that little red maple leaf next to your name I will explain.
I don't like it when someone, I'll use your own words, apply "associated standards".
You seemed to be putting all Americans in a certain stereotype. (I may be mistaken)
I don't like it when someone tries to talk about my countries problems without talking about their own. Just a Patriotic thing.
You just so happened to be Canadian, so I just through my 2 cents in.
I do believe in non-monotonous thought. Hence the question about al-Q.
