"Get out Of Jail Free Card" help
My friend and I have been hired to do our first network security assessment for a local company. I've been given the task of creating the "Please don't arrest us we're legit" note.
Any tips or suggestions for how I should go about creating this document?

DOCUMENT DOCUMENT DOCUMENT
Tell them exactly what you are going to do and then do ONLY that. and as you're doing it DOCUMENT DOCUMENT DOCUMENT. Other than that, get a signature from the owner of officer of the company. CFO is usually the best. |

I think Kevin Mitnick has some examples in his book "The Art of Intrusion". I remember he did discuss how important it is to document everything and only proceed with the high level of approval.
