thanks
Thanks guys, this is all a great help. I'm going to go with avg for the server and clients. One more final question. Has anyone heard of bitdefender? Is it any good? I'm not too informed on this product any input would be helpful. Its alittle cheaper than avg and my boss has used it before.
thanks again

Yes, Bitdefender used to be AVX, a product that originated in Romania. It is a small outfit with a market share of around 3% Worldwide.
A UK review here:
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/i...eviewid=104716
Scroll down for user comments...........they don't seem terribly impressed for the most part.
The magazine reviewer's comments were:
When it came to efficacy, BitDefender Total Security 2009's ability to detect the various categories of malware is slightly unbalanced. The recent AV-Test.org test of security suites gave BitDefender an impressive 97.6 percent detection score when it came to malware but only a so-so score of 87.8 percent for spyware. This was more or less the same scores achieved by the 2008 version so detection rates haven't improved. Its rivals have, however, moved on and you can get near 100 percent scores from the likes of Avira and Avast.
Hope that helps
