when you telnet into it type help or ?. There should be a command that will let you do a soft reboot
I dont exactly have the list of steps i need to acomplish but i need to get the register to boot to the rom system image and bypass nvram
i dont belive the soft reboot command works for this
you could also try going to cisco.com and goto their help section.:D
After you have successfully gone to 'enable' functions, You should be able to execute a 'reload' command to reboot the router.
change
Get to privileged mode (enable) then conf term
change config-reg to 0x2142 , CTRL-Z, reload
but you wont maintain your telnet connection. (shrug)
Generally speaking if you don't have physical access, should you be in the router at all?
just wondering.......
