Nokia CC500 vpn appliance

Has anyone here had experience with the Nokia CC 500 or CC 2500?

If so, could you tell me:

1. Where are they typically placed? Behind a firewall or In parralell with a firewall?

2. If they are placed in parelell with a firewall are there issues which we would need to be cognizant of in order to protect ourselves in that configuration?


At work I may shortly have to start using these devices, and I have absolutely no knowledge about them at all. A google search brought up lots of different links to the Nokia PDF files, but nothing else....

Man, I hate to bump my own post,

But, I really need some info on this.

Antionline readers/posters seem to be knowledgable on security issues, and protecting networks, etc from attack, someone must have some thoughts on using these Nokia VPN appliances.

I don't know about them, but I'd recommend ducking into the Live Security Chat and asking people in there.....
