Do you want to run linux from floppy or do you want an emergency repair disk to boot from?
Just to run Linux off of the floopy.

Take a look here http://www.linux.org/dist/english.html
You can do a search on the page for floppy and you should find a few distros that are floppy-based. ;)
I downloaded a small distro of linux called LOAF linux. I think this is what you are looking for. Check it out at http://www.ecks.org/projects/loaf/
I'm actually looking for somthing that would boot from a clean
ms-dos harddrive. I mean totally clean the only thing it does is boot up with the C:\ and one file called the command which is the stupid Microsoft logo.
Sorry for not being specific.
any version of linux is good, but i prefer HAL91. do a search on (the best ever search engine) google.
