Uninstall it completely and download Grisoft AVG free version from Webattack.com! It's not only free, it's better and easy to deal with!
Good luck,

Heres an idea, don't ask for virus-creating advice on a security site. And for the love of god, if you're going to make a virus, make it in C, not in VB
You have a variety of options depending on your programming skills, one good one might be to create a virus that does nothing on execution except to remark out a line in autoexec.bat
like so:
original line: @C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NAVDX.EXE /Startup
how it should be: rem @C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NAVDX.EXE /Startup
i am probably forgetting something, but this may be a start
(what i am probably forgetting is that NAV uses a mute, which you must also disable)
I know! I know!
rightclick the icon in your system-tray, and select Disable... A pop-up will ermmm... pop up...and ask you if you are sure... select YES!!!! I'm a Dumbass!!! I wanna disable you, stupid dumbshit!!
This reminds me of the jokes going
around when voice recognition software
was first introduced.
You walk past someone's office and lean in the
door and shout:
"Format C Colon!"
no i'm trying to get my knowlage up to date by seeing how to shut down any program thats running or has a directory i just picked nav cause its commom it could be text editor for that matter
ermmm...yeah right...like this thread? http://www.antionline.com/showthread...hreadid=222090
Hmmz...
/me wonders why Mantix could possibly want to use a VB command to shut down Norton Antivirus? He also wonders why, if some of the best virii in the world don't do that, we would know how? There are many great questions raised by this thread, but none match that of how gullible Mantix thinks we are.
