.NET for *.nix
I saw this on CNN, thought it was extremely interesting, especially the bit about a BSD version of the .NET development platform. Also mentions M$ is releasing source for the .NET architecture to educators, this is big news for third parties and geeks all over. Have a look

I think their release of the source code is just a way for them to brain wash programming students into thinking .net. But I am surprised that they didn’t use .net as just another thing to hold Linux back.

The full source for Common Language Infra Structure and C# are available from ECMA or Microsoft for everyone. .NET is a shared source initiative.
This is why theres been .NET ports to linux and freeBSD for over a year.
