Well I just wanted to see what the government was running their websites on, and I was pleasantly surprised.
The site www.whitehouse.gov is running unknown on Linux.
The site www.fbi.gov is running Netscape-Enterprise/4.1 on Linux
and my biggest surprise:
The site www.army.mil is running WebSTAR/4.2 ID/70636 on MacOS

Well thats just the high exposure web servers. At that level, the govt/mil tend to overlook M$ for some real security.
Of course, with contracts and all, most every other govt/mil server is running some form of IIS
Guess noone is perfect
Ugh whitehouse.gov. IMO, whitehouse.com is much better ;)
If im not mistaken they Just switched in the past couple years to MacOS for security reasons... I could be wrong anyone else know?Quote:
