Open ports

Is there any way of keeping tabs on what ports are open in Windows, or will I have to switch to *nix?
(This question specially for Dome. By the way, thanx for your last reply, you were the only one ;)

You can perform a port scan on yourself. Just, in the IP address of the scanner, type in "127.0.0.1" or "localhost" and it should work.

I think the best way is simply to use netstat.

The switch for it is netstat -a that tells you what open ports are on your machine

I use a program called LANguard Network Scanner (has anyone heard of this?) It has a lot of good stuff built in.
