Please HELP!
Ok guys, i've got a problem and i'll bet you can help.
I'm looking for a program (for WinXP and 98) that can block out certain .exe's. When the user tries to start those programs you're requested to insert a password. If you have it wrong the first time it has to play a sound (very loud) or show an image (really big) and the computer shuts down.
Do you know such a program???
Please help. Thanx.

I believe a display program like ArmorAll was around a few years ago...
That's about all I can think off....
(Dunno if it still exists?)

Look around in www.download.com and www.tucows.com, I'm sure there must be something there.

I personally use a neat little program called "Private.exe" that p/word protects .exe files.
You can get it here.

that one doesn't sound too hard to write.
you could program your own sound, maybe link it to a database to store the program information or URL, whatever. create a few forms in VB... depending on your docs on the office, you could probably rig it up so that it looks up the persons name who just opened the program and the name of ther "forbidden" program and announce it over the speaker.
"joe blow has opened 'sexy vixens 3'" setup speakers around the office so that everybody can hear, and your set. paranoia will set in and soon an inter-office war will ensue, the likes of which haven't been seen since "lord of the flies". ok, i got off track there.
i guess what i'm saying is, personalize it for that "creepy" touch
